Analysis: Deutsche Bank rates BASF shares with hold & 56 euro price target

Deutsche Bank AG recently conducted a comprehensive investigation into BASF stock and found interesting results. According to the analysis by Deutsche Bank Research, the rating for BASF was maintained at “Hold” with a price target of 56 euros. Analyst Virginie Boucher-Ferte emphasized in a recently published study that operating profit (Ebitda) in the first quarter exceeded market expectations. However, due to the lack of upside potential, we recommend holding the stock.

In current XETRA trading, BASF shares fell by 5.0 percent to 48.43 euros at 3:12 p.m. Despite this decline, according to the analysis, there is still upward potential, which is 15.63 percent compared to the specified price target. Since the beginning of 2024, the share has gained 6.4 percent. An important date for investors is July 26, 2024, when BASF will publish its balance sheet for the second quarter of 2024.

Deutsche Bank AG has published its investment recommendation for BASF shares and recommends holding the share based on the analysis results. This recommendation is based on a thorough examination of the company's key figures and the market situation. Investors should therefore closely follow the further development of BASF shares, especially with regard to the upcoming publication of the quarterly balance sheet in July 2024.
