Baisinger Brewery celebrates 250 years: tradition meets future!

The Baisinger Brewery proudly looks back on 250 years of history. On the occasion of this anniversary, managing director Paul Teufel highlights the importance of continuity in family ownership, while the brewery is currently run by him and his brother Edmund, the ninth generation. The traditional brewery has invested not only in the past, but also in the future. In 2019, a pioneering project called “the jack-of-all-trades” was launched, which focuses on maximum flexibility in production. The focus is on classic beers as well as non-alcoholic versions and mixed beer drinks.

In order to achieve these ambitious goals, Kieselmann GmbH was brought in as a partner for process technology. The new facility, designed for sustainability and efficiency, will allow the brewery to meet a growing market for non-alcoholic beers. Especially during the Corona period, the Baisinger Brewery invested around three million euros in system technology, digitalization and product safety.

Modernization and investments

Another highlight of recent developments is the establishment of our own bottling line for non-alcoholic beers. This measure was necessary because non-alcoholic beer is increasingly acting as a brand driver. There are also numerous modern technologies, including a new bottle inspector, modern Euro 6 trucks and a photovoltaic system on the roof of the brewery. These investments underline the future-oriented orientation of the brewery, which also wants to survive in a changing market.

The anniversary is celebrated with a large court festival that takes place on Sunday. Admission is free and the program promises numerous attractions. Among other things, there will be a morning pint with the Nagoldtal musicians and a tapping of a keg by the local mayor Philipp Küfer. A wide range of children's programs are offered for younger spectators, ranging from bouncy castles and bungee trampolines to a cat car racing track.

Culinary and entertainment

From a culinary point of view, guests can look forward to a variety of regional specialties. Plans include, among other things, ox on a spit, grilled trout and a specially created beer ice cream. In addition, a theater performance by the Baisinger theater group will bring the history of the Teufel brewery family to life. Brewery tours are also on the program on this special day, where visitors can get to know the technology and production in more detail.

Particular attention is paid to the Baisinger non-alcoholic Hefeweizen, which is part of the brewery's product range. This high-quality non-alcoholic beer is available for 19.90 euros (4.42 €/1l) in a packaging unit of nine bottles. The Hefeweizen is characterized by its refreshing and vitamin-rich properties, has an alcohol content of less than 0.50% and is available at the brewery in Rottenburg a.N./Baisingen. The ingredients are a careful combination of brewing water, wheat malt, barley malt, hops, yeast and carbon dioxide, and it has an original wort of 7%.

With all these celebrations and innovation-driven developments, the Baisinger Brewery impressively shows how tradition and progress can harmonize with each other. The company is ready for the next 250 years.
