Bayrischzell 2025: Stable budget secures investments and the future!

The municipality of Bayrischzell is financially well positioned for 2025. Treasurer Sandra Sieber presented the budget plan to the local council, which relies on stable finances. The local council gave its unanimous vote for the budget statutes and the financial plan. The administrative budget is around 6.2 million euros, while the asset budget is around 4.1 million euros. Strong income from trade tax, which amounted to 1.4 million euros in 2024, contributes significantly to the municipality's solid financial position. In addition, the district levy falls by around 148,000 euros to around 1.1 million euros, which further increases the financial scope for action. Overall, the municipality has 276,836 euros more at its disposal than in the previous year, which results in additional leeway of around 277,000 euros merkur.de reported.

The municipality's positive figures are supported by an interest saving of 3.3 percentage points. However, the administrative and capital budgets are heavily burdened by ongoing expenses. The largest expenditure in the administrative budget is 1.4 million euros for personnel costs and 1.33 million euros for administrative and operating costs. In addition, around 1.2 million euros must be budgeted for levies. The asset budget is also facing challenges, as it has fallen to 4.1 million euros compared to previous years due to low investments der-markt.net reported.

Investments and challenges

One focus of the asset budget is the expansion of broadband provision, for which 869,500 euros are planned. Further investments include the purchase of a new vehicle for the construction yard, the projects in the spa park, on hiking trails, in the swimming pool, on the cross-country ski trail and investments in the sewage treatment plant, which is estimated to have planning costs of 350,000 euros. The total costs of the renovation are estimated at around 6.3 million euros.

The municipality of Bayrischzell remains able to act not only in terms of income, but also in terms of municipal expenses, as all mandatory tasks such as water supply and the primary school continue to be fulfilled. In order to meet the requirements, the school is receiving a new paper cupboard, while the fire department is receiving support in implementing a digital radio system and purchasing a quad bike.

Debt and financial forecast

For 2025, the debt level is expected to rise to around 5 million euros. This mainly results from the reallocation of two projects via BayernGrund. Compared to the previous year, the debt level is expected to increase from 4.8 million euros to 5.2 million euros. The municipality's reserve currently amounts to 282,750 euros. The trade tax assessment rate remains stable at 380, which remains unchanged compared to the previous year.

Mayor Georg Kittenrainer praised the treasurer for her initiative to significantly reduce the interest burden through various reallocations. This shows that the municipality of Bayrischzell is well positioned and capable of acting, despite the upcoming challenges in the area of investments and debt development.
