Binh Phuoc on the upswing: TH Group presents exciting investment projects!
In Binh Phuoc, one of Vietnam's most important agricultural centers, the focus is on the future of agriculture. On May 27, 2025, Mr. Le Quang Anh, Head of Investment Consulting Board of TH Group Projects, met with regional representatives to present five promising projects in industrial, urban development, golf course and high-tech agricultural production. This meeting was followed with great interest because TH Group, a renowned company with clear objectives and strategies, proposes its participation in the province's planning projects. Vietnam.vn reports that Tran Tue Hien, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed his joy at TH Group's commitment. He emphasized the importance of close collaboration between provincial departments and TH Group to realize these projects.
Discussions also covered topics such as investment procedures, land reclamation, and land compensation and clearance. An important point that Tran Tue Hien raised was ensuring transparent provision of information on the progress of projects. There is great hope that these projects will be implemented quickly, as they could significantly boost economic growth in the region.
Restructuring of agriculture
In parallel with these developments, Binh Phuoc Province is planning a major restructuring of its agricultural sector. How Binhphuoc.gov.vn explains, the focus is on the natural advantages and market requirements. The province is known for its diverse terrain forms, which are ideal for growing high-value industrial crops such as cashew, rubber, coffee and pepper. Binh Phuoc is the largest producer of rubber and cashew in Vietnam, giving the region a significant role in the agricultural market.
Nguyen Thanh Binh, director of the Agriculture and Rural Development Office, announced plans to rezone cultivated areas and promote investment in processing agricultural products. The focus is on increasing product values, supporting clean and organic farming and introducing advanced techniques to increase quality and yield. The value of the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector was VNĐ29.9 trillion (US$1.3 billion) last year – an increase of 3.8% compared to the previous year.
Goals and achievements
The province has ambitious growth targets with an average increase of 5.7% per year for the period 2020-2025. The main EXPORT products identified include pigs, chicken, cashew and timber products. In recent years, effective agricultural models have been developed, including the cultivation of orchids and honeydew melons and the use of modern irrigation techniques in vegetable cultivation.
One notable success is Phuong Thanh Tran, a local farmer who earns nearly VNĐ100 million (US$4,400) per hectare from his pepper field using sustainable farming methods. The province is implementing a program to adopt modern agricultural techniques from 2020 to 2025, with a focus on high-quality, concentrated acreage for key crops.
Among the planned measures are the development of ten concentrated cashew growing areas, each at least 300 hectares in size, and five concentrated pepper growing areas with a total of 2,000 hectares by 2025. In addition, the number of cattle to be bred is to be increased to 40,000. The creation of five high-tech agricultural parks on 2,264 hectares is also on the agenda. The province is actively working to improve the traceability of its agricultural products through software and electronic stamps, which is of great importance for exports.
Overall, Binh Phuoc's plans and initiatives show the potential to not only increase agricultural production, but also position the region as an important player in the agricultural sector. The combination of investor interest and regional reforms could pave the way for dynamic economic growth.
