Dax with negative sign: German leading index loses 0.95 percent

The Dax recorded a negative trend on the stock market, with the index of the 40 largest German stock companies falling to 17,795.96 points during trading, which corresponds to a total loss of 0.95 percentage points compared to the previous trading day. Compared to the previous annual high on April 2nd, the index has lost 3.50 percent to date. During the trading range of the leading index today was 304.79 points, which is well above the average of around 110 points.

Finally, the Dax closed the trading day with a decline of 0.95 percent at 17,917.28 points. Among the companies listed in the Dax, Deutsche Bank recorded the largest gain with an increase of 8.18 percent, while Zalando, the biggest loser of the day, recorded a price decline of 1.61 percent. In addition, MTU Aero Engines also fell by 1.52 percent, making it one of the weakest performers in the leading index.

Trading volume increased significantly compared to the monthly average, with a total of 101,431,910 shares of DAX companies traded, an increase of 43.71 percent compared to the average monthly trading volume of 70,583,034 shares. The Dow Jones Index on the New York Stock Exchange also recorded a daily decline of 0.96 percent on the last trading day and is currently at 38,090.05 points, which corresponds to a decline of 4.51 percent below the previous annual high of 39,889.05 points.
