Dietach is focusing on the future: new stock sports hall and green energy!

The community of Dietach has recently made significant progress in promoting sport and sustainability. Mayor Johannes Kampenhuber proudly presented the opening of a new stock sports hall, which was created as part of these efforts. The newly designed parking areas in front of the hall are now not only functional, but also environmentally friendly as they have been planted with trees.

A central element of the sustainable initiative is the installation of a photovoltaic system on the sports grounds. With a total output of 240 kWp, the plant is expected to produce around 240,000 kilowatt hours of electricity annually, meaning the community will produce almost as much energy as it consumes. This measure reflects the increasing importance of renewable energies, which are being actively promoted in numerous municipalities, including Dietach.

Investments in the tennis sector

In addition to the progress in the stock sports hall, the municipality has also made significant investments in the tennis area. The tennis courts were extensively renovated and equipped with a modern irrigation system. The tennis club's clubhouse was also modernized independently.

The positive effects of photovoltaic systems on sports clubs cannot only be observed locally. There are over 80,000 sports clubs in Germany that, similar to Dietach, use the potential to install photovoltaic systems. These systems contribute to independence from external energy sources and enable a significant reduction in annual energy costs, enabling the clubs to become energy-efficient self-suppliers. The company Power2nature, for example, has successfully implemented photovoltaic projects in public facilities to promote the use of renewable energy.

Support for clubs

The support of municipalities plays a crucial role in the installation of these systems as they cover part of the investment costs. The aim is to advance the expansion of renewable energies and shape a sustainable energy future. In addition, Power2nature offers help in analyzing the technical and economic requirements of such projects.

For example, in the case of a tennis club with an annual electricity consumption of around 100,000 kWh, Power2nature plans to install a 55 kWp photovoltaic system. This development shows how sports clubs can drive the switch to renewable energy and at the same time position themselves as pioneers in the areas of environmental protection and sustainability.

Overall, the progress in the community of Dietach shows how important the combination of sport and environmental awareness is. The recent investments and promotion of photovoltaic systems not only represent a financial advantage, but also actively contribute to climate protection.
