Major investments in Ursensollen: Local council approves budget for 2025!

The Ursensollen local council has worked intensively on the budget for 2025. It was about the budget statutes and the financial resources that are planned for a large number of projects. For the administrative budget, income and expenses are set at around 9.8 million euros, while the asset budget was estimated at around 6.9 million euros. A borrowing of 1.6 million euros was planned to achieve the financial goals and enable important investments. The tax rates were reduced to 235 percent for property taxes A and B, while trade tax remained at 350 percent. The maximum amount for cash loans is 1.5 million euros, like Central Bavarian reported.

The main income of the administrative budget includes property tax A with 37,500 euros, property tax B with 441,000 euros and trade tax, which amounts to 2.2 million euros. In addition, significant amounts from income tax and sales tax are planned. On the expenditure side, the largest part of the budget goes to the district levy at 2.7 million euros as well as subsidies for daycare centers, which amount to 1.45 million euros. The financial policy pursues the goal of making budget management sustainable and at the same time ensuring that the municipality remains able to act in the future.

Important investments and the impact on municipal debt

The capital budget also includes some significant income and expenditure. A striking point is the new fire station in Hohenkemnath, for which a total of 2.4 million euros have been budgeted. Other major investments include the land acquisition with 600,000 euros and the renovation of Vitusstrasse with 500,000 euros. The municipality also plans to invest 1 million euros in renewing the municipal connection road. These extensive projects will result in the municipality's debt increasing from 3.5 million euros to an estimated 4.75 million euros, which corresponds to a per capita debt of around 913 euros.

In addition, new responsibilities were determined during the meeting. Roland Retzer was appointed as the new field jury in Thonhausen, while Michael Ritter took over the office of chairman. However, a building application for an unlit billboard on Amberger Straße 38 was rejected, which shows that not all of the municipality's projects need to be approved.

Political priorities in the context of the budget

In the larger context, the federal government's 2025 budget aims to achieve a balance between investment and financial responsibility. The political priorities are security, social cohesion and economic growth. Given an uncertain global economy, it is emphasized that investments in internal and external security, as well as in infrastructure, are necessary to ensure a stable environment. These investments are intended not only to improve the quality of life of citizens, but also to strengthen the competitiveness of the economy.

In addition, the planned financial policy also includes tax and duty relief, which will primarily benefit families and low-income earners. The planned investments are aimed in particular at rail infrastructure, road construction and local public transport in order to promote mobility and economic efficiency. The political rulers are striving to comply with the debt brake in order to avoid excessive indebtedness. These general conditions also influence municipal budgets, as they are clearly visible in Ursensollen.
