Hager Group invests 18 million euros in Blieskastel – future secured!

The Hager Group has taken a significant step towards the future at its headquarters in Blieskastel by completing investments worth 18 million euros. The ceremonial inauguration of the new facilities took place in the presence of Prime Minister Anke Rehlinger and marks a decisive moment for Saarland as an industrial location.

In the last few weeks, two highly automated production systems for small circuit distributors have been put into operation, which promise a significant increase in efficiency in production. In addition, a new technical complex was inaugurated that focuses on machine maintenance. This enables processes to be optimized and improves collaboration within the company.

Sustainability in focus

A central component of the new infrastructure is a highly efficient refrigeration system that enables significant savings in the energy balance. Loud hagergroup.com The new system will save around 640,000 kWh of electricity and 220 tons of CO₂ annually. These reductions correspond to the annual electricity consumption of around 160 households and are part of the Hager Group's long-term sustainability goals.

Sabine Busse, CEO of Hager Group, explained that these investments not only increase the company's competitiveness, but also improve its sustainability record. At the same time, Daniel Hager, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, emphasized the company's long-term commitment to the Blieskastel location, 70 years after it was founded. Prime Minister Anke Rehlinger praised the Hager Group's commitment, which makes a significant contribution to the region.

Increase in production and future prospects

The new production facilities are specifically designed for small distribution frames and doors and enable a significant increase in production capacity. The production time per frame was halved and the production of the doors was accelerated by around 25 percent. These improvements are part of a comprehensive investment strategy that has implemented around 500 million euros in the company's production facilities since 2021.

A total of 67 million euros flowed into the Blieskastel location to create 48 new machines and 31 technical systems as well as modern infrastructure. These measures underpin the Hager Group's claim to play a key role in shaping the electric world of tomorrow and at the same time meet the challenges of growing energy demand.
