Le Thuy: Successful projects despite clearance challenges!
In the Le Thuy district, the basic construction and clearing policy is being vigorously pursued. Ngo Van Ninh, Director of the Construction and Clearing Project Management Committee, highlights that these tasks are both important and challenging. Supported by local party committees and authorities, significant projects were realized with a high level of political consensus. The construction of foundation projects is at the top of the agenda.
A total of 30 new projects with a capital volume of VND 800 billion were recommended for the period from 2022 to 2025. Of this amount, nearly VND700 billion has already been paid out. 14 of these projects have already been successfully completed and put into operation; A further 16 projects must be postponed to 2025. Special attention will be paid to the quality, progress and construction process to promote the development of essential socio-economic programs in the district.
Challenges and progress
The compensation and clearance work necessary for project implementation is proving to be the most difficult phase. The responsible committees have focused on the management of the departments and work closely with the responsible authorities. While some projects are behind schedule and the disbursement of public investment capital is not in line with plan, there are successes in clearance work, such as the General Vo Nguyen Giap Memorial and the Loc Thuy-An Thuy Bridge.
However, challenges remain, particularly due to a lack of consent from those affected and a lack of land use certificates. To overcome these problems, the board plans to strengthen administrative and operational processes and deploy qualified personnel for construction supervision. In addition, the focus is on solving remaining difficulties in the clearance work, with close coordination with the responsible agencies to determine compensation prices.

General Võ Nguyên Giáp is honored as a legendary general and military genius who played a crucial role in the Vietnamese revolution and the country's history. His contribution to the victory of Điện Biên Phủ will not be forgotten. The Lệ Thủy leadership has expressed gratitude for the achievements of these fighters and wishes them good health and encouragement to serve as role models for future generations and carry on the revolutionary tradition. Special attention is paid to honoring these personalities to recognize their commitment to the country.
