NEL shares plunge after Pareto Securities downgrade

So far in April, NEL shares have recorded a remarkable price recovery of around 30 percent. Nevertheless, they came under considerable pressure on the Oslo Stock Exchange on Wednesday. The trigger for the price decline was the downgrading of the NEL securities from “Hold” to “Sell” by Pareto Securities. As a result, shares on Nasdaq Nordic ultimately fell by 15.66 percent to 5,212 Norwegian krone.

Analyst Gard Aarvik expressed concern about the situation, calling it an “undesirable cocktail.” This involves several factors, including the increasing pressure to generate cash. This need for cash could negatively impact the Company's planned spin-off of its fueling business. In addition, the company's weak order intake was cited as an additional burdensome factor.

Current developments show a volatile phase for the NEL share, which is now undergoing a significant correction after a strong start in April. Investors and industry observers will follow further developments closely to identify possible trends and risks. The downgrading and the challenges mentioned could have an impact on the price of the NEL share in the short to medium term and require a careful analysis of the current situation of the company and the market.
