On May 19, 2025, NRW.Bank will launch a new funding program for companies in North Rhine-Westphalia that supports investments in sustainability and innovation.

NRW.Bank has launched a new funding program called “NRW.BANK.Invest Zukunft”, which is intended to support companies and craft businesses in North Rhine-Westphalia. The aim of the program is to promote investments in sustainability, digitalization and innovation. This is particularly important to ensure the competitiveness of the regional economy, as Economics and Climate Protection Minister Mona Neubaur emphasizes. As part of this program, companies can apply for promotional loans from their main banks, whereby the interest rates can be up to two percentage points below the market interest rate, reports the Craft sheet.
The funding program enables companies to finance investor projects with attractive conditions. The maximum loan amount is 10 million euros, so that significant investments can be made. Depending on the amount of investment and the size of the company, repayment discounts of 5%, 10% or 20% are also possible. A small company can save a total of up to 170,000 euros with a loan of 500,000 euros over a period of ten years.
Flexible financing offers
The program offers loans with different terms, repayment years and fixed interest rates. Companies have the option of choosing between terms of three to ten years and repayment holidays of up to three years. The interest rates are competitive and vary depending on the term. For example, the borrowing rate for a term of three years for the lowest interest rates is only 1.21%. The interest rates are also attractive for longer terms.

In order to benefit from these funding conditions, applications must be submitted before the start of the respective project. The program is open not only to private companies, but also to municipal companies.
