Another company, VKU – Verkehrsgesellschaft Kreis Unna, operates 93 buses and uses 806 tires every day. Since Bear-Cut was introduced in November, 170 bus tires have already been recut, resulting in an additional mileage of up to 18,000 kilometers. The saving per tire is 90 euros, which leads to a total saving of almost 15,000 euros in just six months.

The Bear-Cut not only reduces the time and administrative effort in operations, but also contributes to sustainability. Higher mileage prevents the purchase of every fourth tire, which significantly reduces raw material consumption and CO2 emissions.
