At the general meeting of MDAX-Papier RTL it was decided to pay a dividend of EUR 2.34 for 2023. This decision means a reduction in the dividend by 21.48 percent compared to the previous year. The total distribution to shareholders therefore amounts to EUR 696.00 million, which corresponds to a reduction of 19.07 percent compared to the previous year.
The RTL share certificate closed at EUR 31.75 via XETRA on the day of the general meeting. The dividend will be deducted on April 25, 2024, which is also known as the ex-dividend date. This action may have a negative impact on the share price. The dividend yield has fallen compared to the previous year and was previously 7.54 percent.
Over a period of one year, the price of RTL fell by 34.05 percent via XETRA. The actual return (price + dividend) and the share price developed almost in parallel.
