Strong start to the stock market for CVC Capital Partners in Amsterdam
CVC Capital Partners enjoyed a strong stock market debut as the financial investor's shares made a successful debut on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. The value was last quoted at 17.002 euros, which corresponds to an increase of 21.44 percent above the issue price. The issue price was set at 14 euros per share, resulting in a valuation of the company of 14 billion euros. The IPO, which was canceled due to delays in November, was ultimately successful, despite the uncertainty created by Hamas' attack on Israel.
The volume of CVC's IPO was increased to 2.3 billion euros, including an over-allotment option. Shareholders selling shares in the IPO included Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC Private, the Kuwait Investment Authority, a wealth fund managed by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and some management shareholders. CVC, one of the best-known European financial investors, manages assets of around 186 billion euros and has stakes in companies such as Breitling and Lipton Tees and Infusions. CVC recently brought the Douglas perfumery chain back to the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
