US government bonds are recovering: countermovement after recent losses

U.S. Treasury bonds posted gains in late trading on Wednesday after suffering recent losses. The futures contract for ten-year bonds rose by 0.48 percent to 108.19 points. In the previous weeks, prices had come under pressure, with the yield on ten-year government securities recently falling to 4.59 percent. This marked a decline after reaching its highest level since November last year the previous day.

The Federal Reserve (Fed) announced that the economic situation in the USA had improved slightly in some districts. According to the published economic report (Beige Book), ten out of twelve districts showed slight or modest economic growth compared to eight districts in the previous report. No change in economic activity was recorded in two districts. The Fed's statements had no significant impact on bond prices.

The rebound in US Treasury bonds in late trading may indicate a temporary reversal of the previous negative trend. Traders may have reacted to market conditions and economic indicators impacting bond markets. The next few days will show whether this positive trend continues or whether bond prices will come under pressure again. It remains to be seen how external factors such as international financial markets and monetary policy decisions will affect the development of US government bonds in the coming days.
