Brandenburg's best: Five companies win the 2025 Innovation Prize!

On Thursday, July 10, 2025, five outstanding Brandenburg companies were awarded the Brandenburg Innovation Prize 2025 in Cottbus. This annual honor recognizes special contributions to innovative strength in the region and is endowed with a total of almost 30,000 euros, which is distributed among the award winners. The award underlines the importance of innovation for Brandenburg's economy and environmental protection.

Economics Minister Daniel Keller (SPD) praised the award winners and emphasized how important their projects are for the region. The award-winning solutions represent significant added value for the industry and contribute to sustainable development.

The award winners in detail

• AMS Alteno (Luckau): Entwickelte den WFS Clearwater Lift, eine innovative Bootshebemaschine, die ohne den Einsatz von Hydrauliköl auskommt und stattdessen auf Klarwasserhydraulik setzt.
• Projektgemeinschaft „reffiSchaf“: Dieser Zusammenschluss, bestehend aus der Frankenförder Forschungsgesellschaft (Luckenwalde), Biomanufaktur Havelland (Velten) und Gut Hirschaue (Rietz-Neuendorf), verfolgt die Entwicklung neuer Verwertungsketten für Lamm- und Schaffleisch.
• MB Fensterbau und MB Brandschutztischlerei (Beelitz): Ausgezeichnet wurde die innovative Brandschutztür aus Holz, die über eine Feuerbeständigkeit von 90 Minuten verfügt.
• Sectorlens (Potsdam): Das Unternehmen erhielt einen Sonderpreis für seine KI-gestützte Plattform „Find your Software“, die kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen bei der Softwareauswahl hilft.
• CanChip (Potsdam): Ein weiterer Sonderpreis ging an die Entwicklung von Computerchips, die menschliche Zellmodelle darstellen und dadurch Tierversuche in der Krebsforschung ersetzen können.
