Altcoins on the rise: Solana, HYPE and TAO could trump Bitcoin!

Today, June 1, 2025, Bitcoin continues to have an impressive market dominance of over 60 percent in the crypto market. This leading position makes BTC a basic investment for long-term strategies. At the same time, altcoins offer higher volatility and are interesting for many investors, especially for medium-term swing trades. Crypto analyst Miles Deutscher has identified three altcoins that could potentially outperform Bitcoin and that promise significant growth potential in the coming years.

Particularly noteworthySolana (SOL), which has established itself as a fundamental part of a long-term portfolio. The platform is the preferred contact point for retail activities, especially for memecoins and decentralized applications. The planned Firedancer upgrade promises significant performance improvements, while the Saga 2 smartphone is aimed at mobile Web3 use. A possible Solana ETF could attract institutional capital, which holds additional potential. According to Deutscher, the current price of around $155 could rise to over $1,000.

Market observations and technologies

The CEO Valeriy Yasakov of a crypto-focused mini-app operating within Telegram monitors the continuous market trends and technological innovations in the cryptocurrency space. Solana has achieved a remarkable 140 percent growth this year, outperforming many competitors. With faster transaction speeds than Ethereum, Solana is positioning itself as a leading platform for DApps and DeFi. Solana's market value is over $100 billion, with a price of around $250 as of November 2024, and forecasts predict an increase to $400 to $750.

Solana's dominance in the DeFi sector is increasing, and the trading volume of specific DEXs sometimes even exceeds that of Ethereum. Over 1,000 memecoins exist in the Solana ecosystem, with a total market value of over $20 billion. The daily trading volume of these memecoins is over $6.8 billion, demonstrating the attractiveness and commitment of investors in this space.

New actors and developments

Another promising altcoin isHyperliquid (HYPE), which gains market share through true product-market fit. The platform competes with large exchanges and at times achieved a market share of up to 30 percent compared to Binance. Profits are repatriated via a community fund, which includes buybacks and token burns. Hyperliquid sees itself as the infrastructural basis of an active ecosystem.

The third altcoin,Bittensor (TAO), combines cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence. Users who provide computing power or machine learning models will be rewarded with the native token. The issuance mechanisms are similar to Bitcoin, including gradual scarcity. Called the “Bitcoin of AI coins” by experts, TAO could become more valuable as demand for AI solutions increases, but it is also volatile.

Another interesting aspect is the new trading bot calledSnorter, which is based on Solana. It offers a functional trading product that can be used via Telegram and enables wallet connections, stop losses and token trading in real time. The SNORT token offers advanced features and lowers transaction fees, with planned expansion to Ethereum, BNB Chain and Base.

The predictions for 2025 are promising, with a challenge for Bitcoin as altcoins such as Solana, Chainlink and Bittensor can potentially increase significantly in value through their unique offerings. However, crypto remains a high-risk asset class and investors should always keep the risks in mind. The article is for informational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice.
