Bitkom: Germans underestimate the effects of AI in jobs

According to the digital association Bitkom, Germans underestimate the effects of artificial intelligence (AI) on various professions. A survey commissioned by the association found that 62 percent expect changes in jobs in finance and 60 percent in IT jobs, while only 34 percent in the military and 30 percent in the judiciary expect them.

Bitkom Managing Director Bernhard Rohleder emphasizes that AI is already being used extensively in the judiciary and the military. In law firms, AI analyzes huge legal documents and finds current case law for courts, while in the military it is used in a variety of ways, from analyzing satellite images to controlling drones.

In recent months, advances in generative AI have increased rapidly. According to Rohleder, artificial intelligence is becoming an important tool in most professions and is developing in a similar way to the introduction of computers, but at a much faster pace. Rohleder therefore recommends that everyone should familiarize themselves with AI now and receive appropriate training.

The development of AI will therefore play a crucial role in many professional fields in the future. It is recommended that you deal with this topic at an early stage and acquire the appropriate qualifications in order to meet the requirements of the modern working world.
