BNB Chain Overtakes Ethereum: The Airdrop Hype Explained!

The Binance Smart Chain (BSC) has established itself as the favorite among traders on decentralized exchanges. According to recent on-chain data from DeFiLlama, the BSC recorded an impressive trading volume of nearly $11 billion in the last 24 hours. For comparison: Ethereum and Solana together only reach $4.65 billion. These numbers highlight the sudden increase in BSC usage, which may be due to several airdrop campaigns conducted by Binance. Investors have the opportunity to participate in these distributions by depositing the native cryptocurrency BNB without having to actively interact with the protocols. The price of Binance Coin (BNB) is currently at $640, with a slight decline of almost one percent in a 24-hour comparison.

BNB Chain Airdrop Alliance Program

BNB Chain launched the Airdrop Alliance Program to thank the community for their support. The goal of the program is to provide airdrops to users who were active on the BSC and opBNB from August 2023 to March 2024. The program allows participation in projects that have not yet issued tokens. The airdrop campaign includes a variety of projects and their tokens, including:

The Airdrop Alliance Program launched on March 13, 2024. The snapshot period for eligible wallets is from August 1, 2023, 8 AM UTC to March 19, 2024, 8 AM UTC. To participate in the airdrops, users must meet certain criteria, which are divided into two levels.

Eligibility criteria for airdrops

The airdrop eligibility criteria are as follows:

• Level 1 (BSC):
  • 50 bis 5000 On-Chain-Transaktionen
  • 10 bis 100 interagierte Adressen
  • Mindestens 30 aktive Tage mit Transaktionen
  • Keine Smart Contract-Adresse
  • BNB-Balance ≥ 0.05
• Level 1 (opBNB):
  • Gleichwertige Anforderungen wie bei Level 1 (BSC), jedoch zusätzlich das Halten des opBNB Genesis NFT.
• Level 2:
  • Erfüllt die Kriterien von Level 1 plus:
  • BNB-Balance ≥ 0.1 oder 60 FDUSD
  • Interaktion mit mindestens 6 Smart Contracts auf BSC

The addresses that qualify for Level 1 and Level 2 will only receive the benefits of Level 2. The distribution of Level 1 and Level 2 rewards will be announced at a later date.

In addition to the airdrop goodies, users will benefit from campaigns from the participating projects that take place over a certain period of time. Interested project owners have the opportunity to apply for the Airdrop Alliance Program.
