Stock marketers in New York are confident: Dow Jones rises by 1.23 percent

The top stocks in the Dow Jones are currently Amgen (+12.43 percent to $313.00), Apple (+6.92 percent to $185.00), Microsoft (+2.02 percent to $405.87), Goldman Sachs (+1.72 percent to $440.01) and Home Depot (+1.65 percent to $341.05). Among the weaker stocks in the index are Chevron (-1.24 percent to $158.73), McDonald's (-1.03 percent to $270.47), Johnson Johnson (-0.56 percent to $149.08), American Express (-0.56 percent to $231.20) and JPMorgan Chase (-0.47 percent to $190.75).

The most traded stock in the Dow Jones is currently Apple, while Microsoft shares have the largest market capitalization. Verizon stock has the lowest price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio in the index and is expected to have the most attractive dividend yield this year, according to FactSet estimates.
