Dax recovers slightly at the weekend

The German leading index Dax is expected to record a slight recovery at the end of what has been a weak week so far. According to broker IG, the Dax is expected to be around 0.3 percent higher at 17,959 points, which would put it above the hotly contested 50-day average line. This would also help reduce the previous weekly decline of one and a half percent. The positive development is partly supported by good guidance from the USA, where the most important indices rose after the end of European trading. Technology stocks in particular rallied, with the Nasdaq 100 defending its 100-day moving average.

Apple's quarterly figures also played an important role in the positive mood. The company impressed with its figures, outlook and the announcement of a record share buyback of $110 billion. This led to the iPhone manufacturer's shares increasing by six percent after hours. This strong performance from Apple also contributed to the positive sentiment in the markets.

Overall, the mood on the stock markets appears to be improving, supported by positive developments in the USA and strong corporate results such as those from Apple. Investors can hope for a recovery in the Dax, which appears to be stabilizing again after a weak week. The factors mentioned could help the German leading index reduce its losses and possibly return to a growth path. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop in the coming days.
