Dax stabilizes at 17,800 points
The Dax has stabilized and was trading around 17,800 points in early trading. Investors in both Asia and Europe resisted the US impulse to sell technology stocks on a larger scale. Shortly after the stock market opened, the leading German index rose by 0.29 percent to 17,821.15 points. The MDax also recorded an increase of 0.25 percent to 25,992.79 points, while the EuroStoxx 50 rose by 0.50 percent to 4938.68 points. Wall Street had little changed in standard values in the middle of the week, whereas the Nasdaq had fallen significantly.
