US trade deficit remains almost unchanged in March
The US trade deficit remained almost unchanged in March, preliminary calculations show. It stood at $69.37 billion compared to the previous month's revised $69.46 billion. Economists had expected the deficit to be $69.50 billion.
Compared to the previous month, exports fell by 2.0 percent to $257.62 billion. At the same time, imports decreased to $326.992 billion, down 1.6 percent month-on-month.
These numbers reflect US trade activity in March and show relative stability in the trade deficit. Experts will continue to closely monitor whether this trend will continue in the coming months.
