Toncoin has once again seen a significant price increase in the last 24 hours, putting it among the strongest cryptocurrencies, with an increase of around 10 percent. Within the top 50 cryptocurrencies, Ton is the leading performer, posting gains of around 50 percent over the past week, bringing its market valuation to $25 billion. Currently, Toncoin is in 9th place in market share according to data from CoinMarketCap, having even left Cardano behind and now has the potential to overtake Dogecoin and thus continue to grow.
Toncoin's rising popularity is fueled by growing interest in projects on the TON blockchain and innovative initiatives such as Telegram's revenue share program. Although the official connection to Telegram is no longer as close, Toncoin, also known as “Telegram Token”, has gained importance. The Telegram founders' idea of creating a connection between Internet users, blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies has become clearly visible and has led to increasing interest.
A major boost for Toncoin was the announcement of its own smartphone, the “Universal Phone”, specifically for the Toncoin ecosystem, which will provide access to over 600 decentralized applications. The launch of a self-managed TON wallet and Telegram’s revenue sharing program have also contributed to the token’s rise. Despite positive developments, Toncoin is subject to controversy due to its close association with Telegram, especially the concentration of tokens in the hands of a few wallets, which poses a potential risk.
Given this dynamic and Toncoin's growth potential, the question arises as to whether Toncoin or other cryptocurrencies are more attractive. There are also risky trading opportunities in the current market environment, especially in the Solana ecosystem. Meme coins continue to appear there and gain significantly in value.
