Energy consultations have increased sharply - financial expert explains the reason and gives tips.
According to a report by www.rnd.de, almost 280,000 energy consultations took place in 2022, which is around 100,000 more than in the previous year. The figures show that the energy crisis caused by Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine is having a significant impact on consumers. The cost of energy has risen dramatically, which means that people are increasingly turning to energy advice in order to identify potential savings and counteract them financially.
The energy consultations give consumers tips on how they can save energy and money, especially in connection with renovations, financial support and the assessment of energy consumption. Due to increased demand, 278,225 energy consultations were carried out nationwide last year, with most taking place in Bavaria.
The impact on the market and consumers is significant. With rising energy costs, the demand for government support and advice has increased enormously. The federal government is reacting by introducing energy price caps for electricity and gas in order to cushion the consequences of the increased costs. These price brakes should apply from March 2023 and provide relief for both private households and smaller companies.
It can be assumed that the demand for energy advice and government support will remain high given the ongoing energy crisis. Rising energy costs could also lead to increased use of energy saving measures and advice in the long term, as consumers look for ways to deal with the financial burden.
