According to a report from supertipp-online.de, the NRW consumer advice center offers a free online self-study course called “My e-prescription – redeeming a prescription made easy”. This course was created to make the transition easier for those with statutory health insurance and for medical practices that are not yet familiar with the topic of e-prescriptions. Since relatively few people have used Gematik's e-prescription app to date, it is important to find out about the system requirements. To use it, you need an electronic health card with NFC function and a PIN from your health insurance company. The app works on smartphones or tablets with NFC function and an operating system from Android 7 or from iOS 15.
