The communities of Kerken, Issum and Rheurdt are jointly launching the “Climate & Energy” event series. The consumer advice center provides information about heating replacement, energy modernization and suitable funding. The kick-off will take place on Wednesday, February 21st at 6 p.m. in the auditorium of the Martinus Elementary School in Rheurdt. In his lecture “Heat pumps and their alternatives”, energy consultant Gregor Breitmar will explain the technical basics of heat pump types as well as other possible heating technologies and their possible uses. The topics of costs and funding are also discussed.

Further dates are as follows: Wednesday, March 20th, “Energy Modernization” in the Issum Council Chamber; Wednesday, April 10th, “Heat pumps and their alternatives” in the Michael Buyx House in Nieukerk; Wednesday, May 29th, “Funding for energy-saving renovation” in the Sevelen community center. The free series of events is a joint offer by the climate protection officers in the communities and the North Rhine-Westphalia consumer advice center.
