Class action against Vodafone due to price increases: Register now
Consumers now have the opportunity to join a representative action against Vodafone, which was filed due to unacceptable price increases. The Federal Office of Justice for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has released the lawsuit. Consumers and small businesses can now file claims related to Vodafone's unlawful price increases. The Federal Association of Consumer Organizations (vzbv) filed the lawsuit with the Hamm Higher Regional Court because the price increases for current telephone and internet contracts last year were viewed as unlawful.
The vzbv stated that people who join the lawsuit can receive direct repayments if successful. The price increases amount to five euros per month and affect contracts with Vodafone GmbH, Vodafone West GmbH or Vodafone Deutschland GmbH. Due to strong consumer interest, many are expected to join the lawsuit. Interested parties have the opportunity to register up to three weeks after the end of the oral hearing.
