Saxony-Anhalt Consumer Center is planning mobile financial advice services in small communities

According to a report by www.zeit.de, the Saxony-Anhalt consumer advice center is planning to offer advice in small municipalities, but implementation is being delayed due to delivery difficulties. An experienced company in Frankfurt/Main has been awarded the contract to build a Digimobile, but due to delivery difficulties with its suppliers, completion is not expected to take place until autumn 2024.

The Digimobile will be equipped with broadband internet, a video consultation station, document scanner, self-sufficient power supply and air conditioning. The costs amount to around 230,000 euros. The consumer advice center plans to offer fixed appointments at central locations in order to offer advice via video chat in various areas such as consumer law, financial services, energy and care.

The delay in the implementation of the advisory mobile may have an impact on consumers, particularly in remote areas who may have limited access to consumer advice center services. The additional funding from the state of Saxony-Anhalt totaling around 710,000 euros from the Corona special fund is intended to ensure that the project is ultimately implemented and that consumers can benefit from the planned consulting services.
