ADAC telematics app: Save up to 30 percent on car insurance

According to a report from www.adac.de, ADAC Autoversicherung offers its customers the Fahr + Spar telematics module free of charge, with which they can reduce their premiums by up to 30 percent annually. The app records driving data and provides the driver with regular feedback on their driving behavior. Young drivers between the ages of 18 and 24 in particular have the chance to benefit twice with the telematics app. In addition to the financial incentive, they can regularly check their driving style and continually improve it.

According to ADAC accident research, young drivers between the ages of 18 and 24 cause around twice as many accidents in road traffic as the average number of road users in Germany. Regular use of a telematics app can help you question your own driving behavior and make drivers aware of safe driving habits and thus contribute to increasing road safety.

ADAC car insurance also offers three product lines – Basic, Comfort and Premium, where the basic cover automatically includes all important services. ADAC members are rewarded with a discount of up to 15 percent.

Both Comfort and Premium product lines always include services for drivers of electric and hybrid vehicles. With a coverage amount of 100 million euros, ADAC car insurance offers comprehensive insurance protection, including accidents caused by gross negligence and animal collisions.

The introduction of the telematics component in ADAC's car insurance may lead to significant market changes as other insurance companies will be forced to develop similar programs in order to compete with ADAC. Increased use of telematics apps could help reduce accident rates among young drivers and improve overall road safety.
