Driver without a license: Police stop cars in Dannstadt
Late on Saturday evening, officers from the Schifferstadt police station checked a car on the L454 in the direction of Dannstadt. The driver, a 28-year-old man from Dannstadt, was stopped and checked. It turned out that he had been under a legally binding driving ban since the middle of last year, which he had not yet taken up. In addition, the vehicle was advertised for compulsory decommissioning because there was no longer any valid liability insurance.
The driver was then banned from driving and the vehicle was immobilized by officers on site by removing the registration stamps from the license plates. The man's license plates and driver's license were also seized. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the driver for driving without a license and violating the compulsory insurance law. In addition, the man's driver's license will be sent to the responsible driving license office for safekeeping for the duration of the driving ban.
