According to a report by www.dasinvestment.com, inflation does not leave insurance companies unscathed. With prices rising, many customers are changing their car insurance to save money. They often use online comparison portals.

The German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) has now examined which of these portals offer the best service. The result: Not every portal finds the best tariff. In a test scenario with identical general data, the cheapest offer for a Mercedes C-Class on a portal examined is around 606 euros per year. On two other portals, the cheapest fully comprehensive car insurance costs 775 euros each, which means a difference of around 170 euros.

In this context, Verivox is the test winner with a quality rating of “very good”. The portal distinguishes itself with the very high information value of the website and positive user reviews, especially with regard to its user-friendliness. According to the DISQ study, the provider answers email inquiries in a friendly and understandable manner. On the telephone, Verivox scores with very short waiting times of just nine seconds on average. When analyzing the cheapest tariff offers, the portal comes out second best.

Check24 offers the cheapest tariffs and takes second place with the quality rating “very good”. The calculator provides the most attractive offer for eight of the 15 scenarios. When taking out a contract, consumers can save an average of 9 percent of the costs compared to the recommended tariff of the most expensive portal, with a savings potential of up to around 22 percent. When it comes to service, Check24 is second best after Verivox.

The result of this study shows that Verivox and Check24 are considered the leading portals for car insurance comparisons. Verivox is characterized by excellent service and informative content, while Check24 particularly scores with its affordable tariffs. Customers can benefit by potentially saving money by switching to one of these portals.
