Lagerhauskino Schongau celebrates reopening after pigeon damage

The Schongau warehouse cinema has finally reopened after extensive renovation, which is sure to please cinema fans. The reopening took place this Friday after a two-month closure due to damage caused by a pigeon dispersal. The insurance covers the cost of the renovation after an accident almost occurred.

Georg Werner, who runs the warehouse cinema, emphasizes the efforts to offer cinema-goers a cozy atmosphere again. The interior design of the cinema has been improved with new carpeting, a fresh ceiling and insulation, which certainly contributes to the well-being of the guests. The charm of the cinema has been restored, which is particularly praiseworthy.

The cooperation with the city of Schongau is also highlighted positively, as the city was supportive and cooperative. Special thanks go to city treasurer Kurt Konrad and Benedikt Huber, who are closely connected to the warehouse cinema. The safety of cinemagoers is now the focus after pigeon handler Sabine Helbig accidentally hit a non-load-bearing ceiling structure in January, causing damage and the cinema being temporarily closed.

The reopening is viewed as an investment in the future, as the cinema's catchment area is large and attracts visitors from Weilheim, among others. The warehouse cinema's current program includes, among other things, the social drama "Maria Montessori" as well as music films such as "Joan Baez - I am a noise" and "Rickerl - Music is at most a hobby".
