LVM Insurance sets a strong example for diversity in Münster!

LVM Versicherung, based in Münster, recently signed the Diversity Charter to reiterate its commitment to an open and non-discriminatory working environment. This commitment includes valuing all employees, regardless of gender, ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation or identity. Chairman of the Board Dr. Mathias Kleuker sees the signing of the charter as an expression of the promotion of diversity in the company.

The Diversity Charter, which was launched in 2006, has already gained over 3,500 organizations in Germany as signatories. Your goal is to create a working environment that is characterized by respect and appreciation and in which prejudices have no place. The charter also views diversity as an attitude towards a fair, respectful and sustainable working world, a foundation that is now being intensively discussed by many companies in Germany, while in the USA some companies are rethinking their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies.

New migration network

As part of the new commitment, LVM Insurance has initiated the establishment of a migration network that is specifically intended to support employees with a migration background. Aisha Lenzing, sales representative and co-initiator of the network, emphasizes the importance of visibility and participation for people with a migrant background. This new network complements existing structures such as the women's network and the Queer and Friends network.

In addition, LVM Versicherung employees are involved in various projects to promote diversity. These include an anti-discrimination office, a representative for the severely disabled and an inclusion team in the human resources department. The company's internal diversity committee aims to strategically anchor diversity in human resources policy and corporate processes in order to further strengthen measures that have already been initiated.

Commitment of the Arsipa Group

The Arsipa Group, one of the largest occupational safety service providers in German-speaking countries, has also reaffirmed its commitment to diversity by joining the Diversity Charter e.V. With this step, the Arsipa Group shows responsibility for safety, health and an appreciative corporate culture. Your accession is seen as a further contribution to creating a respectful working environment, which is also increasingly being called for in Germany, while companies and institutions are being asked to take a clear stand.

The commitment of companies like LVM Versicherung and the Arsipa Group shows that diversity in the world of work is not only an obligation, but also an opportunity for a fairer and more respectful future.
