New training cohort starts with 31 talents in Braunschweig!
On August 1, 2025, 31 young professionals and one annual intern began their training, dual study program or internship at Braunschweig Public Insurance. This once again underlines the importance of the company as one of the most important training companies in the region. Over 1,200 employees currently work in more than 120 public insurance branches and thus contribute to the future of the company.
The new training cohort is made up of a diverse group of graduates. The prospective specialists include:
- 15 Kaufleute für Versicherungen und Finanzanlagen (Schwerpunkt Vertrieb)
- 5 Kaufleute für Versicherungen und Finanzanlagen (Schwerpunkt Innendienst)
- 4 Fachinformatiker (Systemintegration, Anwendungsentwicklung, Daten- und Prozessanalyse)
- 2 duale Studenten (Finanzdienstleistungsmanagement)
- 2 duale Studenten (Wirtschaftsinformatik)
- 1 Koch
- 1 Köchin im zweiten Lehrjahr
- 1 Veranstaltungskaufmann
- 1 Jahrespraktikant
Wide range of possible uses
The insurance and financial investment specialists with a focus on sales are deployed in various offices in the regional business area. These include locations such as Bad Harzburg, Salzgitter, Wolfenbüttel, Schöningen and Eschershausen. This offers the new employees the opportunity to get to know different facets of the company and to immerse themselves directly in practical work.
To make it easier to start working life, an introductory seminar was organized, which was led by older trainees and the training manager Jennifer Amrein and Alexander Sonnhof. This seminar included various team building activities to help the new employees get to know each other better. The participants also dealt with important topics such as traffic safety, supported by the Braunschweig police.
Career start and future prospects
Board member Nina Hajetschek took the time to personally welcome the new employees. She gave them valuable tips for starting their careers: show curiosity, ask questions and stay open to new experiences. Braunschweig Public Insurance would like to continue to attract trainees and talents from various areas and calls on interested parties to find out about the open positions and training opportunities on their website.
There are valuable perspectives, particularly in dual studies, as the range of courses for business IT specialists shows. This course of study lasts three years, divided into six semesters. The training contains theoretical block phases that take place at the Welfenakademie e. V. and take place in the company. The students acquire knowledge of mathematics, accounting and process management, while at the same time they are employed in various IT, controlling and accounting departments. The requirements for applicants are high: a good high school diploma, analytical thinking, teamwork and an interest in programming languages are just some of the requirements.
