Lower Austria's financial professionals: Graduates celebrate graduation in St. Pölten!
In Lower Austria, training in banking and insurance is actively promoted. At four selected schools, namely HAK Zwettl, HAK Wiener Neustadt, HAK St. Pölten and AULB Stockerau, students have the opportunity to acquire additional qualifications in this area. In order to successfully complete the course, participants must take semester exams, create a project and conduct a technical discussion. This initiative is supported by the banking and insurance division of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce, which underlines the important network between education and business.
A highlight of this program was the final event in St. Pölten, where several HAK students received their certificates for successfully completing the “FiRi” program. Yagur Cakmak, Semra Emsi, Mariella Hofbauer, Adis Krasniqi, Florian Luger, Bahara Muhammad, Dorottya Papp, Lena Rossa, Janina Schachl, Johannes Willach and Felix Wohlmuth were honored for their achievements. KommR Mag. Reinhard Karl, deputy director of Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich, emphasized the practice-oriented training, which is important not only for the job but also for one's private life.
Important topics in the diploma theses
The graduates of the program also proved to be competent discussion partners in technical discussions. Various relevant topics were addressed, such as financing, risk diversification and business insurance. Particularly noteworthy is Semra Emsi's diploma thesis, which dealt with the importance of risk, security and liquidity in the area of investment. In his work, Felix Wohlmuth analyzed risk management and its influence on company development.
In the context of these developments, FH JOANNEUM also offers a part-time bachelor's degree in banking, insurance and finance. This course combines business knowledge with in-depth finance knowledge and is aimed at working professionals as well as career starters and high school graduates who want to advance their career in the financial sector. The content of the course covers important subject areas such as business and law, investments, risk management, financial planning, insurance consulting and controlling, which prepare graduates for expert and management positions.
Unique training concept
The courses are designed in such a way that they are compatible with professional activity. Attendance times are scheduled on Friday afternoons and Saturdays, while e-learning components reduce the need to be in the lecture hall. This contributes to the flexibility of the students. A special feature of the course is the holistic view of the banking and insurance industry, which makes it unique in Austria. The teachers are experienced professionals and leaders who contribute their relevant expertise.
These training and study opportunities increase the market value of graduates because they develop not only technical skills, but also methodological and social skills. The students also contribute to the digital transformation in banks and insurance companies by putting the latest software knowledge into practice. This illustrates the future-oriented approach to training in the financial sector.
