BMWE requires user consent: This is how you handle your data!
On June 5, 2025, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) published important information on the use of the JW Player video service. Users of this service are asked to agree to the transfer of their IP address and other technical data to JW-Player, a provider based in the USA. This is necessary in order to be able to provide the videos offered.
The information provided also points out that users must allow cookies from JW-Player on their device in order to be able to fully use the video offering. The legal basis for data processing results from Section 25 Paragraph 1 TTDSG in conjunction with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a) GDPR and Section 3 Paragraph 1 EGovG.

Users have the option to revoke their consent to data processing at any time via the consent management at the bottom of the page. This is an important notice for anyone with privacy concerns.

An example of an upcoming date is the annual event of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, which will take place on June 11th from 7:10 p.m. to 7:40 p.m. at the Hotel de Rome in Berlin. Accreditation for this event has already closed, but no live stream will be offered.
