Böheimkirchen celebrates new businesses and award-winning pharmacist!

The tenth business reception took place in Böheimkirchen on May 26, 2025, with over 100 guests present. Mayor Franz Haunold invited people to the event, which took place under the moderation of Karl Herzberger. The evening was a platform to showcase new businesses in the community as well as honor local entrepreneurs.

As part of the reception, Beate Gareiß received the coveted “Golden BÖRO” for her pharmacy, which is viewed as an important part of the Böheimkirchen health location. The award was presented by Karl Herzberger, Daniela Wippel, Ferdinand Schmatz and Mayor Franz Haunold. Gareiß, who has been a member of BÖ local marketing for many years, will hand the pharmacy over to her daughter-in-law Lucy Gareiß, but will remain active in the business.

New businesses and investments

During the reception, site developer Jürgen Erber presented eight new companies that were founded in Böheimkirchen. The new arrivals include:

  • Blumenschmiede e.U.
  • Delia Scelsi
  • Julia Jung, Fachärztin für Orthopädie & Traumatologie
  • A.S. Abschleppdienst e.U.
  • Andreas Sumberger, Baumeister
  • Istvan Kis, Immobilienberater
  • Daniel Lechner, EFS-AG
  • PeRu Shop, Peter und Ruslana Breitenhuber
  • Omnia Capital GmbH, Mathias Kreizinger, Immobilienmakler

These new businesses are part of the community's efforts to recover from the effects of last year's flood disaster, which affected 80% of households. Mayor Haunold emphasized the resilience of the companies and the solidarity of the population. There are numerous renovation projects and infrastructure improvements, including the renovation of a sewage treatment plant for 2.5 million euros and the restoration of the Schwemmbach Bridge.

Sustainable developments in Böheimkirchen

The market town of Böheimkirchen is well on the way to normality and is planning various initiatives for further development. Among other things, a Nextbike station will be built in the south operating area to create a better connection to the train station. In addition, infant care in Mauterheim is planned for 2025.

A merger of the music schools in the region will make Böheimkirchen a “sound region”, and the Sonnleitner company is investing to open a powder factory in autumn 2025. Finally, the 150th anniversary of the Nemetz company will be celebrated in the near future, while construction work will soon begin on a new operating area in Plosdorf.

Overall, through the close cooperation with the BÖ local marketing, the municipality shows that they are pursuing a clear strategy to strengthen the apprenticeship and health location. The event was not only a celebration of successful projects, but also a new incentive for the further economic development of Böheimkirchen.
