Success stories from Trossingen: women's power in the industry!

A remarkable event recently took place at the Trossingen branch of Heine+Beisswenger with the motto of promoting the visibility of female perspectives and successes in the industry. Over 40 participants were present to take part in discussions and presentations that highlighted the challenges and opportunities for women in technical careers. The event was moderated by Tanja Hezel and Olga Demchenko, who created a space for lively exchange.

A highlight of the event was the appearance of Martin Strobel, former handball professional and national player. Strobel impressively shared his personal story, which led him to reorient his career after an injury during the 2019 Handball World Cup. During his rehabilitation, he wrote a book and emphasized the importance of networks, courage and a positive outlook.

Panel discussion and new initiatives

A lively panel discussion with Henriette Stanley, Nicole Knöpfle and Sonja Barsch delved into the topic of female role models and the challenges that women often face in technical professions. Topics such as active networking and the need for strong role models were discussed intensively.

Heine+Beisswenger itself has been active in Trossingen since 1991 and has established itself as an important player in the trade in steel products. With a new digital and fully automated high-bay warehouse that includes 3,600 cassettes and a total weight of 15,000 tons, the company is ensuring that it remains future-oriented. Branch manager Goran Petrovic highlighted the need for realignment and also presented an innovative “success bell” designed to celebrate employees for their professional successes.

Committed training for the future

As part of the training strategy, Heine+Beisswenger also started a new training year with 10 new trainees who are starting their careers at various locations - including Trossingen, Fellbach and Pforzheim. A total of 19 trainees are now learning in various areas such as wholesale and foreign trade, warehouse logistics and machining mechanics.

The company attaches great importance to the personal commitment of shareholders and board members to vocational training. The training plan includes regular exchanges with management and the new trainees are comprehensively introduced to the company's processes. The current trainees often aspire to be taken on after their training and have long-term plans with Heine+Beisswenger.

With the combination of a focus on female success in the industry and dedicated training, Heine+Beisswenger is securing a strong position in the industry and supporting the next generation of skilled workers.
