New momentum for Deilinger Hütte: culinary delights and e-bike stations await!
The hut at the tower in Deilingen, an important place to stop for a break for hikers, is getting new impetus. According to a report by Schwäbische.de, the hut was orphaned for a long time and will now be managed by Stephanie Mattes and Marcus Stotz from April 19, 2023. Stephanie Mattes, a native of Deilingen and a trained hotel manager, also works as a paramedic. Her partner, Marcus Stotz, has roots in nearby Burgfelden.
The community of Deilingen is supportive and particularly helps with clearing the path in winter. The water supply is an existing problem: the old water pipe is calcified and has leaks. Drinking water is therefore provided via water canisters, while the building yard supports the transport of process water. The hut is heated with a tiled stove and offers three e-bike charging stations. Parking is available directly in front of the hut and at the Josefskapelle, about two kilometers away.
Opening dates and offer
The hut will open for the first time on Holy Saturday, April 19th, and will then be open the last two weekends of the month. Opening hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Albrechtshütte also hosts events on the first two weekends of the month.
The hut's culinary offerings include Swabian hut food, including red sausage, farmer's bratwurst and the special “Ankerschnitzel”. Special promotions such as white sausage breakfasts and sausage salad dinners are also planned. The hut is still open for club events, regular meetings and can also be rented for birthday parties.
In addition, regional mobility options such as e-scooter sharing in Reutlingen, Münsingen, Engstingen, Gomadingen and St. Johann offer alternative means of transport, such as biosphaerengebiet-alb.de reported. Here, users can unlock e-scooters using a free app and thus access the new lease offers.
