The protagonists of the global southern hemisphere have been serious about their demand for de-dollarization, and even Trump's harsh rhetoric has failed to temper the fervor. Russia's presidential adviser Yury Ushakov announced that over two dozen countries are in dialogue mode with BRICS. Countries from A for Azerbaijan to Z for Zimbabwe are striving to take part. As the world looks ahead to the new era of international trade with bated breath, BRICS remains unmoved. The alliance has even welcomed new partner nations, nine in number, who want to be part of the vibrant economic mechanism with fewer advantages but with a lot of enthusiasm.
