Economic summit in Wissen: Optimism despite subdued order situation!
The company Dalex in Wissen recently hosted a regional business discussion that brought together numerous entrepreneurs, business leaders and representatives of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and economic development. According to a report by Rhine newspaper Participants were given the opportunity to get to know the company and its offerings better. Particularly noteworthy was a welding demonstration with Martin Trapp in the Technology Center, which aroused the interest of those present.
In the current economic situation, which is characterized by a subdued order situation for many manufacturing companies, the exchange between business and administration is considered extremely valuable. The optimism of company bosses and business leaders shows that they are positive about the future. These are key findings from the fourth regional economic discussion, which took place in Wissen.
Continuation of economic talks
The IHK regional office in Altenkirchen and the Altenkirchen district economic development agency will continue the economic talks that started in 2023 in 2024. The aim of these discussions is to make contacts and discuss topics such as artificial intelligence and recruiting skilled workers from abroad. Citizen Courier reports from the leading heads of the IHK, Kristina Kutting and Lars Kober, who emphasized the importance of networking between companies, self-employed people and craftsmen.
District Administrator Dr. Peter Enders will also take part in the economic discussions and emphasizes the need for contact with local companies. These conversations provide a platform for entrepreneurs, experts and interested parties to exchange ideas and strengthen the regional economy.
Dates of upcoming discussions
The first economic discussion in 2024 will take place on Thursday, April 18th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Hamm Cultural Center. Entrepreneurs from the municipalities of Altenkirchen-Flammersfeld, Hamm and Wissen are invited. Greetings from District Administrator Dr. Peter Enders and Mayor Dietmar Henrich are expected to discuss current economic developments.
In addition, the Mittelstands Digital Zentrum Rural Regions Siegen, which supports companies in digitalization and AI projects, will be introduced. Reiner Rudolphi from the “Zubee” network will talk about recruiting skilled workers from Rwanda. Companies are encouraged to actively participate in the event and contribute their opinions. A small snack will be available after the lectures for personal exchange.
Another economic discussion is planned for Thursday, November 14th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the council chamber of the city of Kirchen.
