Workshop on the digital economy: Ha Tinh is planning future-oriented solutions!

On May 20, 2025, a workshop by the Ministry of Science and Technology on the digital economy to 2030 was held in Ha Tinh. The workshop brought together numerous participants, including heads of departments, experts and scientists from the fields of business and information technology. The agenda included a comprehensive analysis of the current socio-economic situation in Ha Tinh and the digital economic development plan until 2030.

A central point of the discussion was the assessment of the existing state of the digital economy in the region. Participants discussed various scenarios and solutions to promote the digital economy and how to build a digital transformation model for companies. T.S. Do Van Huan presented an informative paper on the digital economy, highlighting the potential and challenges facing Ha Tinh.

Focus on digital transformation

In his presentation, Huan emphasized that Ha Tinh has already largely established an institutional framework for the development of the digital economy. In line with Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU dated October 22, 2021, there is a clear focus on digital transformation from 2021 to 2025, with a long-term vision until 2030. These measures are particularly important as Ha Tinh has recorded a high GDP growth rate, above the national average.

The core of Ha Tinh's digital economy lies in the ICT industry, particularly telecommunications. The expanded digital economy now shows a higher share and growth rate than the national average. An interesting example of the use of modern technologies can be seen in the agricultural sector, where QR codes are used for traceability and e-commerce. All cooperatives and farming households in the region produce in accordance with VietGap, Global GAP and OCOP standards, which contributes to a high quality offering.

Digital offers and recommendations

There are currently 544 products listed on Ha Tinh's e-commerce platform, demonstrating the digital commerce activity in the region. However, the industrial and energy sector shows an unstable growth rate compared to the rest of the digital economy. Experts have presented proposals to improve digital economic development in Ha Tinh, aimed at maintaining and expanding digital infrastructure.

Deputy Director Bui Phong An concluded the workshop with clear recommendations. This includes focusing on the IT and hardware industry, building an IT park to attract foreign investment, and promoting digital transformation in agriculture and tourism. The expansion of electronic commerce is also high on the agenda.
