Ten years of 737th Military Group: Focus on successes for Dak Lak!

On June 2, 2025, a significant ceremony was held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 737th Military Economic Group in Military Region 5. The ceremony reaffirmed the implementation of Decision No. 160/QD-BQP of January 20, 2015, which ordered the transfer of the 737 and 736 Regiments to Military Region 5. Over the past decade, the group has driven significant developments in the Ea Sup economic zone, working closely with local authorities. Over 2,029 hectares of land were reclaimed, investing more than VND29 billion in total costs. These measures have made it possible to grant over 2,500 households at least 1,000 m² of residential land and 2 hectares of production land. Social initiatives and healthcare

Another important aspect of the 737th Military Economic Group's work was conducting medical examinations for more than 47,000 people, which involved over VND 1 billion in medicines and supplies. In addition, over VND 35 billion was mobilized to invest in education: two kindergartens, six reservoirs, more than 2.5 km of canals and a water supply project for 4,000 people were successfully implemented.

The group has also implemented four innovative economic models, including cocoa and jackfruit farming, to strengthen the local economy. Also significant is the handover of 4,680 hectares of land to the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee for a solar power project that will have an expected total capacity of up to 3,000 MW. To date, the investor has already provided a capacity of 850 MW, which contributes positively to the sustainable development of the region.

Five livelihood models were also implemented as part of the National Target Program 2021-2030. The group was awarded a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Defense for the excellent performance of their tasks.
