Shaping the future: Students discover the professional world at SaluVet!
On April 8, 2025, company days took place at a high school in Upper Swabia, which offered K1 students valuable insights into real jobs. These events are of central importance as they help to show future students and employees opportunities and individual fits. In this context, the high school has entered into an educational partnership with the company SaluVet, which enables young people to combine theory and practice.
The workshops conducted on the day covered a variety of topics. This includes product development, research and development, production, sales, marketing, accounting and management. This practice-oriented approach is intended to help students develop a better understanding of business concepts and link them to their school education. A special thank you goes to the SaluVet company and the course leader Jan Wenzel for their support and commitment.
Educational partnerships as a key to professional orientation
The importance of such company days is also supported by current education statistics. Around 40 percent of young people leave school without a concrete or realistic career desire. Educational partnerships between schools and companies are intended to counteract this trend by promoting dialogue between theory and practice. The change in professional orientation thus becomes the basis for actively shaping the future for the students.
The DIHK has published a 24-page guide on this topic that offers schools and companies support for effective educational partnerships. The guide contains, among other things, information on the initial situation, the use and design of educational partnerships and offers best practice examples. In addition, useful materials such as checklists and sample templates are available to help partners get started.

This makes it clear how important collaboration between educational institutions and business is in order to optimally prepare students for their professional challenges.
