Successful start: Hesse takes stock of the first 100 days
The new state government got off to a successful start in the first 100 days of taking office. More than 80 important projects were launched under the motto “Tackling instead of announcing”. The immediate program “11+1 for Hesse” was implemented and the focus was on a new realpolitik that turns away from fringe debates.
The focus was on the implementation of projects and was driven forward quickly, in a future-oriented and approachable manner. One focus was on strengthening democracy through a comprehensive package of democracy research and improving educational opportunities by providing more paid training positions in social professions and free master training in crafts and industry.
Projects such as an offensive against crime in inner cities, the introduction of the “Hessengeld” for young families to promote home ownership and the decision that master training will be free in the future were successfully implemented in the first 100 days. The state government also pushed for important decisions to limit illegal migration at the federal level, presented an emergency package for domestic agriculture and was able to successfully push forward the establishment of the anti-money laundering authority AMLA in Frankfurt.
