Goethe University starts new program for international students!
On August 27, 2025, Goethe University Frankfurt introduced a new innovative program specifically designed for international exchange students and regular students. The Goethe Study Experience Program (GStEP) offers two modules that are offered in English and are aimed at students without prior knowledge of the respective subject area. This program is intended to broaden participants' international perspective and help them promote their personal development.
The GStEP includes interesting courses, including "Critical Theory Past and Present: The 'Frankfurt School' and its legacy", which will take place from September 16th to October 8th, and "A European Banking Hub: Financial and Economic Policies in the EU", which will be offered from September 9th to 25th. These courses enable students to deal with central topics in critical theory as well as with economic and financial aspects in the EU.
Application details and conditions of participation
The application details and participation requirements can be found on the official program website. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis, which requires prompt registration. Regularly enrolled students can register with the Global Office of the Goethe University at the email address gstep@uni-frankfurt.de. The deadline for applications is September 3rd.
Furthermore, the Global Office at Goethe University offers support for students who want to study in Germany for a limited period of time. This is particularly aimed at exchange students from university partnerships or exchange programs such as ERASMUS as well as scholarship holders from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Fulbright Commission.
