Saxony Female Founder Award: Applications until the end of June for courageous female entrepreneurs!
This year's Female Founder Prize in Saxony gives creative and courageous female entrepreneurs the opportunity to apply for this important award by the end of June. The award is aimed at women who founded or took over a company between 2017 and the end of 2023. The main goal of this award is to increase the visibility of women in the Saxon economy and to recognize their role as leaders, reports South German newspaper.
The Founder Prize has been awarded annually since 2008. Minister Petra Köpping (SPD) commented on the goals of the prize and highlighted its importance for female entrepreneurs in Saxony. There are currently two categories, each of which is rewarded with 5,000 euros in prize money.
Female entrepreneurs in focus
The Founder's Prize creates a platform for successful Saxon female entrepreneurs who run a young, small or medium-sized company. The prize is intended to make women's start-ups visible to the public and to promote a climate in Saxony that is friendly to women founders. Around a third of business registrations for sole proprietorships in Saxony are carried out by women - an already high level compared to the rest of the country Website of the Founder Prize explained. But there remains untapped potential that needs to be tapped.
The focus of start-ups by women is primarily in the areas of trade, services and hospitality. These sectors are an essential part of the Saxon economy, and the prize is intended to encourage women, especially in certain life situations, to think about starting a business and to optimistically pursue the path to self-employment.
The application period is ending soon, so interested women are invited to submit their ideas and companies and become part of this important initiative.
