Green party leader calls for Germany investment fund

Green parliamentary group leader Katharina Dröge proposes the creation of a Germany investment fund in view of the weakening economy. This fund is intended to enable the federal states to jointly finance infrastructure investments. Dröge emphasizes that many prime ministers, including those from the CDU, have already spoken out in favor of increased investment and a modernization of the debt brake.

The idea behind the Germany Investment Fund is for the federal government, states and municipalities to jointly provide funds to increase investment in infrastructure. Targeted investments should not only improve the infrastructure, but also provide urgently needed economic stimulus.

The creation of such a fund could therefore contribute to stimulating the economy and have a positive effect on the economy. Dröge is in favor of setting up this fund as a joint initiative and using the resources specifically to implement the investments effectively.
