Criticism of the Hessian state government after 100 days in office

The new black-red government coalition in Hesse is heavily criticized after 100 days in office. In addition to the opposition in the state parliament, the Jusos, the SPD's youth organization, also express clear dissatisfaction with the government's work. The Juso state chairman Lukas Schneider describes the work so far as inadequate and accuses the CDU of populist politics. In particular, the gender ban in schools and the planned introduction of payment cards for refugees are met with massive rejection by the Jusos.

The FDP opposition in the Hessian state parliament also criticizes the state government's actions. Group leaders criticize the fact that urgent problems are not being addressed and that the government is pursuing a more conservative agenda. From the opposition's point of view, there is a lot of catching up to do, particularly in economic policy and education policy. The planned deportation offensive and the gender ban in schools are met with resistance and are perceived as backwards.

The AfD parliamentary group expresses similar criticisms and complains that measures on their own behalf were implemented quickly, while there were little noticeable improvements for the citizens. The Green group complains about the lack of concrete solutions and initiatives after 100 days in government. The results are rated as disappointing because important issues such as a shortage of skilled workers and childcare have not been adequately addressed. Government work is described as unbalanced and characterized by incorrect priorities.
